Background.
The Haris Memorial Tournament takes place at the end of the year and is held to remember Haris Charalambous, one of the top players to come out of the Magic programme. Haris died suddenly while training with his NCAA Division 1 Toledo University team in October 2006. He showed all the qualities desired in a Manchester player, both on and off the floor.
An all-star exhibition will open the annual event and the tournament regularly attracts some of the best teams in Britain, Europe and the United States.
